If you've never travelled to the island of Roatan before, you may be wondering what you should pack, as well as what to leave behind... We've created a packing list to make it easy for you!
Roatan is a lush, tropical island. It's warm and humid and so damn gorgeous it's hard to believe sometimes! But, with the amazing heat and humidity, comes some responsibility...
What To Pack
Chances are you'll be visiting from a drastically different climate, which means you'll need to fill your suitcase with items that you probably don't use on a regular basis. It can be especially hard to know what to pack for a place you've never been, so we encourage you to use our packing list to make it as easy as possible.
What NOT to Pack!
The island is as visitor friendly as it gets, but there are still some items that you would do well to leave behind...
High Heels - take it down a notch and slip on those flip flops
Makeup - humidity isn't kind to the 'matte' finish...
Perfume - gone in sixty seconds, really
Jeans - take advantage of the warm weather, don't torture yourself, please!
Hair Styling Tools (straighteners, curlers, etc.) - sure, your hair will look great... for about 10 minutes

If you're packing your own sunscreen from home, we ask that you make sure it is Reef-Safe. This means that it is free of toxic ingredients such as:

Homosalate
4-methylbenzylidene camphor
PABA
Parabens
Triclosan
Any nanoparticles or “nano-sized” zinc or titanium
Any form of microplastic, such as “exfoliating beads”
